The Welsh Government is hosting a Learner Transport Summit on 28th March 2025 which is a pivotal moment for our movement to push for real change in student transport. This is our chance to work together to influence government policy and secure improvements in provision, quality, and cost for learners across Wales. Transport is a top priority for NUS Cymru, and we are calling on students, unions, and stakeholders to unite in demanding a fair, accessible, and affordable transport system that truly supports access to education.
We need as much information as we can to support our asks. We are seeking comprehensive evidence from students’ unions on the impact of transport on education– filling this in could involve working with your advice/wellbeing service, your college or university departments, or just sharing student stories with us- anything that you are able to share is appreciated.
You are not required to answer every question, just provide what evidence you can. Where possible, please provide quantitative data, survey results, or case studies to support your responses.
The deadline for submission is 12pm (midday) Wednesday 26th March 2025.
Please email your submission to [email protected].
We will be compiling a report from this evidence and will publish this at our NUS Cymru event on the 8th April 2025.
