Statement from NUS Cymru on rise in Welsh university tuition fees
The Welsh Government has today announced an increase in tuition fees to £9,535, in line with the UK Government, alongside a 1.6% increase in maintenance loans. While NUS Cymru welcomes the maintenance loan increase as a step toward supporting students, we remain deeply concerned about the rising burden of student debt. This marks the second fee cap increase for students in Wales in 2024.
